Hello everyone,
Today starts the Photo 101 course from The Daily Post. The theme: Home. First, thank you to The Daily Post for including me. I’m very excited to participate in this!
This morning was the first snowfall here at my home. It fit well with today’s prompt since I wouldn’t know a place as home if it had no season of snow. I’ve had a love hate relationship with snow and winter but lately I seem to love it more than I hate it
Do you see the elements of “Home” I tried to portray?
So that’s it, that’s my first contribution. I’m going to go look at your contributions now. Have a warm and loving day or night that reminds you of home, wherever you are.
The Peridot Pixie
p.s. I will be posting daily for this challenge but will resume once a week posts after that. (or at least that’s my plan)
I really love the colours you have captured here … the snow, not so much 🙂

yea..snow can be a tough thing to love if you’re outside in it, especially when taking picture because it’s hard to hold the camera still when shivering. 🙂

Then we had a very similar photo shoot 🙂
… I was outside the front door in bare feet and no jacket. (It’s not warm out!)

lol, I think I was outside for 5 min. I took like 5-6 shots and hurried back in…was that what your shoot was like too with the cold bare feet approach?

yup!! Maybe I shouldn’t have so quickly revealed my seat-of-the-pants approach to taking the first photo of this challenge 😉

Naaa, sometimes the quick shot is the best shot. I don’t think photography is always just about how long you spend setting up your scene.

I’m not ready for winter or snow! I love your header. Did you take that picture?

Thanks, the snow was gone two hours later and today it’s like 70 outside! I love Colorado.

“A lil’ too cold. A lil’ too warm.” would be my caption for your beautiful picture.

I like that title, but what’s the “lil’ too warm” part? Thanks for the compliment and for visiting.
